Who Will Come Calling ( or Crawling ) ?

Might it be Pacific Ethanol which arranged an LOI with Lignol in 2010 that would involve cross fertilization of their first generation biorefineries with Lignol's lignin/cellulosic  second generation model ?

Despite a huge ramp up in  sales to nearly $550 million, Pacific is losing money because the cost of  the corn feedstock has risen more rapidly than that of ethanol prices.

Lignol has the technology and the business model to transform PE's large sales volumes to profitability.
They cant take us out, as we have the poison pill against such hostile bids.

So, will them come crawling ?

Valero and Poet were acquiring ethanol producers.I think that all were Corn based. How difficult would it be to convert corn refineries to cellulose based?
