RE:RE:Cynthia’s post on LinkedIn today To me there are three things to take away from Cynthia being in the field - the first two of which are very, very positive for the company and us shareholders:
1. Our CEO is a hands-on leader - an up close manager - a geology expert - an obsessive person who wants and needs to be involved and manage every aspect of this project. I've heard it said that she loves the field work - but even if that is the case the physical exertion required - the heat - the cold - the bugs - the dirt - are the furthest thing possible from the suit and tie, fancy office, expense account, flashy promoter CEOs I think this industry has been plagued with. Our CEO is financially, physically and emotionally invested in this company - and we all own what she owns.
2. Our CEO is disciplined and tireless. If she is awake she is driving Laurion forward - whether it's exploring the property, managing the fieldwork, building the data room, running the business or selling the business - Cynthia. Does. Not. Stop. She has done this before - has seen how things can change - how long things can take and how many unpredictable and moving parts there are - and her response is to run the company resources at all of the explore, develop and dispose objectives simultaneously. She will explore this property and develop this business until a deal is done - as aggressively as if there wasn't a deal coming together - to manage risk - and to continue increasing the company value. It isn't a drilling day OR a deal day - or a First Nations relationship day OR a channel sampling day - it is everything all at once all the time until it is sold. And for Cynthia - likely even after it is sold as buyers will likely want her to stay on for a period of time.
3. The negative one. Despite my point 2 above - I don't think anyone is capable of putting out a LinkedIn quartz vein power washing post a day or two before announcing a sale. I might be wrong - but anytime I see a post I figure that tomorrow isn't the day and likely this week isn't the week. But I don't read anything else into it at all - because they aren't connected.
I don't know why they aren't drilling and seemingly uncovering quartz veins instead - but I know that Cynthia and the team have way more information and expertise than I do - are smart and are doing whatever they believe is best to enhance the value of the property, make it easier to buy and to get a deal done as quickly as possible for the highest possible price. I also know that their interests are 100% aligned with ours - the shareholders. There is one class of shares for everybody - and there is a lot of comfort for all of us in that.
