RE:RE:press release

RE:RE:press releaseHello everyone,

Trading next week won't be ugly, I'll tell you why.

Nick has owned and operated his business for 30 years.  Anyone who has owned a business will tell you that this is a time and energy vampire.  It's a grind and takes alot out of you.

Through a ton of hard work and focused attention Nick has built his business hugely and now is at the time of his life that he wants to enjoy the benefits of what he's built.  He told Cynthia many months ago that his focus is moving to family and travel and that's a huge win for any business owner that deserves a standing ovation.

Nick was not invovled in any M&A activity (same as me) and is not part of any committees at Laurion including the special committee formed to evaluate opportunities for financial transactions.

This is not some dramatic behind the scenes story with all kinds of twists and turns.  Nick and Cynthia had dinner when she was out West just a little while back and they decided this was the next step for him and celebrated their great mutual success together.  When you read Cynthia's thoughts on Nick that's not some boiler plate thing, they are friends and always will be.

Nick remains a massive shareholder of LME and has zero intentions of being anything other than that.  This is a story about someone who has achieved the ability to enjoy family and see the world but because he's not the type to do anything half way he didn't want to take up a seat on Cynthia's board without feeling like he was a major contributor.

It really isn't anything other than that.  This change has no impact on:
  • key partnerships at LME
  • ongoing work on a financial transaction
  • exploration of the Ishkoday
  • development of LME
  • corporate governance
  • connectivity to buyers (now that USCG is on board and in charge)
  • geology
  • mineralization
  • value of the stuff in the ground

NONE of the factors that create value for Laurion have changed at all in the last half hour.  Nick is a great supporter and committed investor in LME and has been for a very long time.

Honestly..... .nothing to see here.

Fire away with questions,

Steve
