@mithril56 For whatever it's worth, the last 2 press releases from LME were drafted by M&A lawyers at their firm Miller Thomson. You can tell by looking at the author metadata when you download them from sedar. This is NOT normally the case. Typically, Cynthia or their CFO Tyler author the documents. The warrants from the financing round in Sept 2022 are expiring at the end of Sept 2023. They expire after 12 months, which I found rather short....but perhaps whoever invested felt a buy out would be done within the year. I'm just as happy to have them expire and keep the float down, but perhaps others have an interest in ensuring they are in the money and get exercised? New tax laws go into effect Jan 1, 2024 that will INCREASE the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). This will directly impact Cynthia and other major shareholders. If a deal is close, they have incentive to ensure it gets announced and closed before end of year so they can keep more money in their pockets. Now they have retained US Capital Global for $250k to advise the newly formed Special Board Committee on a deal....and if they can't get a suitable deal as deemed by LME, the $250k is refunded. All the points listed above leave me feeling pretty good about LME right now! I welcome anyone else to chime in with their thoughts.

Amen! Although I personally doubt that the expiring warrants are a driving factor here.

I commend whoever and whatever came up with the idea of having an IR person actively participate in a public forum like this - as well whoever decided to allow it. It is novel - it is efficient - it is effective - it fills a gap - and it allows Cynthia and others inside the firm to focus on the company's business. It feels really good having home here.  I also feels good to see the ...more

For what it's worth... I cannot find the evidence the author speaks of - that their PR's were prepared by their M&A Lawyers.  I work in I.T, and checked the metadata myself - it's all blanked out. It's blanked out for both the copies on LME's website, as well as SEDAR. Can someone else verify this? I could have done something wrong, but I don't think so...  ...more

See attached screenshot from the news released I just downloaded from Sedar.  I've downloaded most of the NRs going back a couple years, it is more common for them to be written by Cynthia or the CFO.  The past 2 NRs were written by Ian Polisuk at their law firm. https://www.millerthomson.com/en/your-team/ian-polisuk/

Your image isn't loading for me, but I trust you. I wonder if they blanked it out after learning it was being discussed like Matlas said. Regardless, I'm getting increasingly bullish on this stock with recent developments. It's hard not to see something in the works here.

Maybe the fact that it is blanked out means something in and of itself. Perhaps they did not want anyone to look upon that fact as inferring something, so that when they learned about the posting on CEO.CA they deleted that. In any event, regardless of any direct proof, I don't think that Cynthia would have been able to write those releases herself given all the new legal references there ...more

I agree Matlas. All NRs now are carefully written by the lawyers to ensure everything is above board.

No deals like this get out of step 1 without lawyers my friends! Laurion has a terrifc group working with them from Miller Thomson.  Spoke with them a couple times while Laurion got my contract together.  Professional people who know this business inside out. Another top notch partner that Cynthia added to the LME roster. Have a great day everyone, Steve

Think you're right Matlas - this is starting to get interesting for me.
