Hard lesson learned…

I'd like to share a personal investing story with all of you. There is lots of talk about Great Bear Resources on this forum. I bought into GBR in October 2018 at $3.40 after receiving a recommendation from a very savvy investor friend of mine.  By January 2020 the stock was over $8 and in January of 2021 the stock hit $15. On December 8th, 2021 the company sold for $29/share. Unfortunately I got cold feet in January of 2019 only 3 months after I had bought shares. The share price dropped to under $2 and I sold all of my holdings. I honestly got scared watching my investment plummet by 40% in 90 days. Now hindsight is always 20/20 and looking back I should have doubled down on my investment at such an undervalued price of $2 but my emotions got the better part of me and in the end I missed out on close to quadruple digit returns. I am not offering investment advice but simply sharing a personal story.

Fair enough. Simple rule I've stuck to my entire investment journey is to sell a stock if I've lost faith in management /future direction and move on.I first invested at .07 cents in LME, sold when other opportunities came up bought back in at notable milestones and so on. Looking forward to either future direction of a quick sale or outside investment to build on already great results ...more
