VALDOR DELIVERS UNIQUE PROTOTYPE TO TELECOM COMPANY
Valdor Technology International Inc. (VTI.V) has delivered a custom-designed fibre-to-the-home product prototype to a North American telecom company. This relates to a $10-million bid by Valdor, in reply to a request for quote (RFQ) that Valdor announced on Sept. 2, 2015. Delivery of this prototype for demonstration purposes is part of the tender process. The product line of the successful tender applicant is scheduled to be installed in the telecom company's optical fibre network during the calendar years 2016 and 2017. An announcement of the chosen vendor is expected to be made by the telecom company in early January, 2016.
Ron Boyce, executive vice-president, sales and marketing, stated: "Because of its high quality, compact and efficient design, rugged construction, and harsh environment capability, we have received very positive feedback about our prototype. This product line has application with other telecom companies and we anticipate ongoing opportunities throughout North America and Latin America."
