Osisko?

So if I understand correctly Osisko has sold their position. This truly baffles me Because why would a good royalty company sell its shares in a company that it just about to have royalties to give. Am I missing something?

No, they didn't completely divest; only a small portion, i.e., under 10% of their holdings. Only Osisko knows the specific reason for reducing their position. Speculating: they need to raise cash to cover other expenses.    Given:   1. what you say, i.e., why sell shares in a company about to start generating royalties 2. Go to https://money.tmx.com/en/quote/MAI/trade-history, and you'll see that the seller is listed as Anonymous (i.e., selling broker is masking their identity). Sure, not absolute proof of anything but given the volume, I'm guessing this is a large holder such as ...more

I've added a lot since ODV started selling.

Looks like sp held low prior to Fridays run owing to Osisko unloading at a discount to another institution:  Osisko sold between .55-.56: Oct 25: 7.6m Nov 9: 6.172m Nov10: 4.5m Nov 11: 4m At same time, Doug was buying, seemingly understanding that once Osisko is done selling, downward pressure on sp will disappear.
