I, too, bought more shares, but it is risky. First, if they have issues with local indigenous groups, they were smart to stop drilling until things get worked out.  That being said, if things are more complicated, things could bog down for the foreseeable future.   Unfortunately, I've seen projects completely destroyed due to loss of community support.  Gainey needs to get it ...more

This might turn out bad but I think stopping drilling to work things out with the locals is the right move. If we get them onside it will make for smoother sailing, if not this was a big gamble anyhow.

How much does the stop drilling cost Gainey day to day?   What is the cost of the rig just sitting while they negotiate a new deal or iron out the issues?  This could take awhile

Could this present a buying opportunity or is the risk too high? Why weren't all these issues sorted out before the start of drilling? Is this the fault of management?

You should call into the company if you are thinking of buying stock.  Develop a good relationship with management , it will help you long term
