Dr. Tarek Abu Bakr Abbas Helmy was also appointed as deputy chairman of the bank for the next three years.

It is worth noting that El-Batran was appointed as chairman of the Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit in September 2011, following Ali Shaker.
