Retired??? Margin Tout!
.....I tried that when I was in my early forties. Made out like a bandit in oil, one in particular. Decided that was it. Hated it. Lasted less than a year and the phone calls of 'please, please, please' - and no it was not James Brown. More like elden crew wanting guidance. It's a gift and you do not retire if you have the gift and if you enjoy what you are doing. A friend of mine who is a gifted surgeon is getting long in the tooth and he is dealing with the fact that he will soon have to hang up his scalpel. Sad. But that's what you get when you *only* work with your hands.
Retire, not a chance. Just too much fun. The money is secondary and I know...when you have lots, that is an easy statement to make. And now it is not the money at all, it is the game. And if in playing the game the pharma, oil, gold, technology one touts turns into something real - so much the better.
And it is important to celebrate your wins. Case in point: Last week walking around with a box of $50 Churchill cigars and when I saw someone I know, give them a cigar and ask them to celebrate another 'ten bagger' with me. And of course, mention that there are a couple of more where that came from, what?. Nah, it is all fun...and when you are really good at something and are enjoying the game as much as I do, to even think of retiring is abhorrent.
As to GRR, always keep your eye on the pea and the plan may become easier to understand. Of couurse the first thing to sort out is - what is the pea and who owns the pea? Rember that part of the post and when everything comes together, you will be smile.
In the meantime, last time I looked into the oven - GRR is coming along nicely. But to many, maybe it is like cooking lamb. It might smell a little while cooking, but the dish will be mouth-watering good once it finally hits the dining room table.
