Share Consolidation

The statement from Akiba in the news release states.

Akiba Leisman, CEO of Mako states that "this Consolidation is intended to increase the number of institutions who can invest in the Company, including exchange traded funds that require higher notional share prices before they can invest, which we believe will increase the liquidity and valuation of Mako's stock over time."

Unless Wexford are open to reducing their Holding i can't see any large Institutions or Funds investing in MAKO. Mako have too much of an influence in the company as it stands....

We do have an Ex Director with a large Holding which may allow him to exit MAKO if the price is right, that will allow an Institution to take a reasonable stake....

That's probably one of the worst heuristics for not owning Mako that has nothing to do with intrinsic value and actually discounts something that is a huge positive.  Wexford has shown with its historical performance and its sponsorship of FANG.N that it's pretty good at allocating capital. That doesn't mean that Mako will work out but it does mean that betting on Wexford is ...more
