I believe that the Bakers and family/friends are looking to minimize their dilution in MMV ownership/control.
This may have placed roadblocks in negotiating a final deal. There is significant expectations on their part with regards to the company's potential and thus net worth and there is great hope that the exposure of the DTRC financing will confirm MMV valuation.
Unfortunately MMV does not have the luxury of waiting this out and there is some urgency in getting the proof out that they have the goods so that the sp can reflect proper valuation.
So my take is "Either Sh*t or get off the pot". You can only sit on the potty for so long.
