RE: Lets all build up a good story
Guyzoo, your passive aggressive shtick is wearing thin. You start by patting someone on the back, then invent a bunch of straw men to destroy. I can only answer your questions for myself:
“if you could answer the following four questions I will support you and the present management.” – I never asked your support, nor anybody else’s support for Management. In my entries I made it clear that I do give Management the benefit of the doubt, but that Management has so far failed to give a good substantive reason for the huge PP. If it fails, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, and may even toast its failure if the stock price finally goes up. If it succeeds, I am not immediately assuming that it’s a bad idea since I don’t have nearly enough info (feasibility study or even close to it) about the Mengapur plans and expected profitability.
“Why do we need the large private placement…” Answered above. I don’t remember reading any of the others’ responses that argue for the necessity of the PP…
“Before answering you mentioned down below the project profits will finance the stages?” - Is that a question? I take a “phased approach” to mean that, yes. Is it reasonable to expect this to succeed? Without the numbers, your guess is as good as mine.
“If Veris Gold is doing financially well, why have they not paid back the Monument Loan and why are they struggling to raise additional capital?” - A disingenuous question / straw man as I ever saw. Mariusz said that they are barely above breakeven until they put Starvation Canyon in production. They needed to raise $ to do just that. He also said that everything took longer than promised, and therefore the market was understandably upset to learn that another round of financing was needed to put Starvation into production, and the stock price took a dive accordingly (not an unusual result of any proposed financing in the mining sector in the current environment). I don’t want to speak on behalf of Mariusz, but I don’t remember him saying that Veris Gold is now “doing financially well”, and if you read his response, he clearly states that in order to do well 2 more things have to happen. I doubt that he’s thrilled that you are putting words in his mouth, and this habit of yours contributes to your aura of dishonesty. From the moment I started reading you, I could not shake the feeling that you are far from being independent of the many groups trying to take control of the company.
Your other questions are obviously rhetorical since you know that we are not Management and therefore do not have access to the answers.
Unless your attitude becomes quite a bit more constructive, I may not answer any more of such "questions".
