Where are all the shares ?For a long time I have been trying to figure out why our shares perform so badly . Well really they don`t perform at all . Now well below cash on hand . Average volume under 60K , from a float of 325 million . Nobody even shorts these shares . Only 75k short last month . Who would be crazy enough to do it ?
Then I began to think the reason for this is , there are no shares for sale . These are just approximate numbers I`ve used but close enough to make a point and largely from the last AGM plur TD Bank and Yahoo Finance . Not great sources but . Europe has to be taken at there word of 2/3s or 210,000,000 million shares . Status impossible to find out but they are there .
I know of 5 posters on this board who between us own 10 million shares . There has to be at least that many I don`t no about 10 million . Then there is no way to account for missing shares , ie) people who have died over the last ten years and there shares are in a can somewhere . It happens !
