dont have a clue about your warrent theory? how does the sale of warrents become a short sale?  never heard of that can u explain ?


A warrant holder can start a short position as a hedge for the warrants he holds.  If the stock runs high, he exercises the warrant and then uses the new stock position to cancel out the short.   If the stock goes lower, he closes the short position and continues to hold the warrant.
