Words out......Just perusing the news wires, seems that word is getting out to far flung sections of the globe. CNN money/BNN both mentioned it today. CBC/CTV I would expect to hear from them by supper hour on their news feeds. Several European and Asian feeds have also picked it up including Bourse Dubai and Bourse Frankfurt.
I will have a little more indepth commentary of the geology a bit later tonight. Suffice it to say that if you combine the historical's with today's result and even mediocre results on the next 8 or 9 cores. This is above Bonanza grades. I was told to today there is a large institutional base of shareholders including Pinetree Capital, and Goldcorp.

Making up for the lack of fireworks during the NHL trade deadline day.Shares of Manitou Gold skyrocketed higher after the junior gold explorerreported mind-boggling intersection (45 m below surface) of 53.7 kg/tAu (53,700 g/t Au!) over a core length of 0.55 m in hole KW-11-26 at theKenwest property in Northwest Ontario. Drilling was designed toevaluate two parallel zones of gold mineralization 40 m apart indicatedby historical records. The Kenwest project is a former, approximate 6g/t Au, small-scale underground Au mine (1940's). Other results includedHole #25 which intersected 6.2 g/t Au over a core length of 4.1 m.Historical drill hole assays include: 9.7 g/t Au over 3.6 m, 12.2 g/t Auover 1.7 m and 34.7 g/t Au over 2.4 m, outlining a zone of goldmineralization approximately 100 m long. With the current drillingresults released Monday, Manitou indicates this gold zone is now knownto extend for 155 m along strike and 45 m down dip. Manitou's largestindividual shareholder is Goldcorp (G), who holds a 15% interest in thecompany.
