RE:When will IMG take a run at MXI?

RE:When will IMG take a run at MXI?WW.... I was thinking the same thing.  With IamGold's share price taking such a nose dive, it would be a great move for them to buyout Merrex fast to instill investor confidence to stop the free-fall in IMG share price. Also, many large investors are waiting to pile onto IMG as soon as they find out what they're going to do with at least a portion of their large cash reserves and whether it's used for quality grades. They would want to eleviate some of that "what will they do with the money" fear that's out there very soon.

The low spot gold price is also working in our favour in that it pretty well assures IamGold wouldn't be able to blow their cash on a low quality project at this low gold price environment.  They're pretty well stuck with high quality grade plans like Merrex and obviously the fact they already operate nearby and a partner making it a no brainer to buy out.

Also, your point about buying now before the next wave of buying on MXI is a great point.  I believe this is the bottom of the multi-month down swing for the whole gold/silver sector and the next multi-month swing up to start very soon.  Now would be the perfect time for IamGold to strike on Merrex.  I also sometimes wonder if these executives take any influence from these message board posts because these penny stocks are heavily influenced by retail investors as well, and all the positive posts could cause a descent retail investor rally let alone commercial investors.  With all the positive drill results and message board posts, I would think they would want to strike soon before the market value share price of MXI creeps up too high.  If MXI's market value crept up to $.50 per share before a buyout, then major shareholders would expect a premium to market price, say to a $1.00 per share at that point.  Nice post you made... I was wondering where Willy was the last few weeks (taking a vacation hopefully) and here you come back with a bang!
