This is what's behind the actions of March 17 2022. They were in posession of those survey results for weeks. To be honest the survey was conducted poorly and with >10% of the 3500 voting members participating. Ridiculous. Be assured 100% of the anti mine lobby voted. It's not over if the Ontario and federal governments really want a critical metals and battey paths technology to exist. ...more

Sorry <10% participated in the survey. I suspect the MCFN saw the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines New Release yesterday act acted to shut down exploration and used the poorly done survey and the Wetham Road incident as a tool in that purpose. That's their right. But lets be clear the drilling contractor used by NioBay in the Wetham road incident was from MCFN and they ignored the ...more

So I have to ask NBY, why did you let a survey on the potential mine to go ahead without holding proper community information access. Is it because they would not allow you into the community because of Covid 19? Was there no other way to inform and engage before this survey which not only being done poorly with pristine watershed photos on the web site and it also was poorly timed. And to the ...more

Another indicator of where the MCFN's intentions were all along - they would not allow drilling to resume until after the survey was completed - why? Because they were afraid those hired by NBY from the community to assist in drilling activities might jeopardize the poll results against those in favor of shutting down drilling and economic growth. That's what NBY has been dealing with. The ...more

One more point about that survey. As we can see less than 10% of the members voted at all. So when you have such a small representation in and vote which is what it was after all let's not kid ourselves here it was a vote. So when you have such a small voice assuming it was a survey and not voicing their opinion then the outcome lends itself to becoming hijacked by the most ardent - mobilized ...more

Another claim MCFN is making towards NBY is that they set up a base camp without pemission and refused to take it down when asked. When you allowed NBY to start drilling they have to set up a base camp. You need to house and support people in that process. When you give permission to drill to also give permission to set up a base camp. No? When you ask someone to take down their base camp it ...more
