Correct. With such low interest rates investors are searching how to make money elsewhere. In times like these investors are moving money quickly in and out of high risk investments. Bitcoin and the crypto currency's are an example. The verdict is still out on those. Anything that can be created so easily in my opinion won't last. Gold has stood the test of time as its value continues to rise because there is a limited supply similar to land as there is only so much of it to go around and everyone wants it. That being said investing directly in gold is a poor investment when compared to stocks. Gold stocks leverage the price of gold and will move higher at multiples to price movement in the actual metal. Anyone who was around in the late 1970's did ok with gold stocks. Let's hope we get another run like that one.
