@mike Gold Summary for Oct. 14, 2021 2021-10-14 19:05 ET - Market Summary by Stockwatch Business Reporter The drought is over for Collin Kettell and Craig Roberts's New Found Gold Corp. ( $NFG ). The company rose eight cents to $8.96 on 345,000 shares today on word of its second batch of assays from Queensway in north-central Newfoundland in the past day. Assays from 11 new holes drilled into the Keats zone, a well-drilled and prolific source of bonanza-grade gold along the Appleton fault, have shown up to 61.5 grams of gold per tonne over 5.2 metres, a hit that came from a 65-metre stepout hole. For New Found, a 65-metre stepout is akin to a trans-Atlantic leap, as the company has been puddle jumping its drills forward perhaps 15 metres at a time. With the new assays, the Keats zone now extends 530 metres farther down plunge, the new hit extending the zone deeper from where the company had previously drilled a 5.2-metre interval averaging 61.5 grams per tonne. With that in mind, there could be no doubt that Greg Matheson, chief operating officer, would lead off his enthusiasm by cheering the "high-grade continuity" down plunge as "impressive." The lede out of the way, Mr. Matheson continued with a quick 180 in direction but continuing with his continuation theme, deeming it "truly encouraging" to see the continuity continue updip toward surface. He then segued back to yesterday's news of a 3.35-metre hit in the Keats Footwall zone that averaged 88.53 grams per tonne, noting that the project "has presented multiple exploration front
