WazzupGldRet25 "ATM fatigue" is the problem here, IMO. Arguments can be made that the ATM is great for the company, great for new retail investors, great for anyone willing to hold very long term.  Arguments can be made the ATM ruined the stock's attractiveness for trading because shares were issued on rumour, news, bullion rallies, and sector rallies. In other words, nothing can set a new level for any period of time.  Also it appears the ATM was effective in discouraging any long term price trend above $5.20.  In other comments I explained the relevance of that sp in relation to the 2023 CFTS and calculated the average ATM sp based on NFG's disclosures at the end of each quarter. It wouldn't surprise me if 10-20% of this quarter's trading volume was ATM shares. Just follow their disclosures of cash in news releases and presentation. Hence anyone looking for short term trades vs. holding will run from this stock, especially if the ATM is extended after its deadline in August. Maybe a 5% GIC would have been a better choice?   Lastly, I believe that huge short position is just from a forward sales agreement for the ATM.  Go research the concept to understand.
