Market Cap / Purchase Price Comparisons

In 2016, Kirkland Lake Gold acquired Newmarket Gold (Fosterville) for approximately $1B CDN in an all-stock deal which has proved in the years that followed to be an excellent bargain for KL that keeps on giving to this day.

In late 2021, Kinross Gold acquired Great Bear Resources for approximately $1.8B CDN.

NFG's market cap currently sits at around $1.3B CDN.

I think Queensway will eventually prove to be far superior to both Fosterville (Newmarket) and Dixie (Great Bear) when all is said and done in the years / decades to come provided gold maintains its value.

I also believe the likely end game for Kettell, Palisades, and Sprott is to sell NFG to one or more producers as I don't think any of these guys / organizations are mine builders or are interested in owning the company as it proceeds through the mine-building process by hiring mine builders to complete the work (but I suppose it's possible...?).

So in my view, the big unknowns are when and for how much Kettell / Palisades / Sprott will sell NFG for....?

Kind of like the gold stock equivalent of a suspense novel to me, except you have no idea when the story ends.......

I'm assuming that the Keates main zone already has a gross mineral value of 6 billion USD.  I'm expecting the gross value of the Queensway property to double, triple or quadruple beyond that this year blowing away all of the comparisons. I doubt that any of the major players will even consider selling until there is a much better handle on the gold potential of the property.  It ...more

My guess is NFG will be sold for somewhere between $3 and $5 billion in a year or two. Of course they will have to keep finding high grade gold. Just a guess but this one is big and it's rich.

43.101 regulates the release of information to the shareholders.  I interpret QH's reference to 43.101 as a reference to an updated Technical report.  The current one is very out of date!

Bdog and Mega if I felt it would do any good I would chastise you both for talking this way. My own feelings are we will still be drilling beyond next year. I dare dream of a 43-101 next year on the Keats and we will find some way to do the mining ourselves and just  keep drilling on the rest.We have only surprised on the upside and with double the  drilling of last year I see us (at ...more

I remember GBR as a dead horse get flogged to death the last year of its life. They sparsely gave out mediocre results and was glad someone bought them to put them out of their misery. Out of the blue only because it was beaten black and blue the last year. You obviously have not read my post about QH talking about NFG. IKE

GBR drilled a Fence.  They said they were drilling a Fence.  The Fence was 4K long by 400M deep.   I think they were going 75 meter spacing between drills.    The results were very consistent as there was a  fair bit of disseminated gold surrounding the main vein.   They had a very big drill program to drill out the fence.    All cashed up ...more

Need to keep reminding folks that Malpeque2 does not even know how many grams a Troy ounce. Why would anyone without this basic knowledge be followed for gold information? He obviously has no formal education in basic geology or maybe high school science.
