I asked CK why not just buy the mill outright? His answer
While it is potentially possible to buy the mill or the Company outright, moving it would not accomplish our goals. Much of the benefit of utilizing Pine Cove would be the brown field site it is located on which is fully permitted and includes tailings capacity. Using an existing site may result in a far shorter timeline to permitting, and certainly a faster start up time if a permit is received. Rest assured, we have a dedicated team working on this and I am certain we will arrive at the most beneficial path forward.

In time they probably will. They will dismantle it and rebuild it in Gander but all of this is years down the road.
