Northern Graphite Corp V.NGC

Alternate Symbol(s):  NGPHF

Northern Graphite Corporation is a mineral resource exploration, development, and production company. It is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of graphite and other battery mineral properties. It is focused on producing natural graphite and upgrading it into high value products critical to the green economy, including anode material for lithium-ion batteries/EVs, fuel cells and graphene, as well as advanced industrial technologies. Its mining operations and projects include Lac-des-Iles (LDI), Okanjande, Bisset Creek, Mousseau West, and South Okak Project. The LDI graphite mine is located approximately two kilometers south of Lac-des-Iles, Quebec, approximately 110 km northeast of Ottawa and 180 km northwest of Montreal. The Okanjande graphite deposit, located approximately 22 km south of the town of Otjiwarongo, and the Okorusu processing plant. Its products include natural flake graphite, natural flake graphite for friction applications, and others.

Mistruths Immediately Found Within That PR Headline

Mistruths Immediately Found Within That PR HeadlineHere is something to ponder over the weekend.

We note the company press release headline initially tells readers that this "PorocarbTM" candidate anode additive material is a solid state batteries technology. It's clearly an initial declaration that is misinforming readers in suggesting the potential use of "PorocarbTM" is only applicable to Solid State Battery chemistries.
The headline also mistakenly conveys that the "PorcarbTM" anode additive product is the propietary property owned by Northern Graphite Corporation, which is an intentional mistruth (and that's understaing the fact) publicly disseminated by and on behalf of "the company".
All this as converyed by the press release headline alone.
To state the least, it's disgusting.

If NGC management collectively doesn't have the intelligence to realize that
straight off the bat telling readers that the company press release is in regards to a solid state battery chemistries technology product  . . . Suffice to say they are better suited to selling shoes in some small town located in Belgium or Italy.

Anybody who actually knows clearly understands that wider adoption of fully solid state battery chemistries technology by or on behalf of the greater part of battery cells manufacturing and the automotive manufacturing industry palyers is likely 10 years or more away.
Sure, there are automotive manufacturers that are closer than others to SSB technologies impementation on a greater scale; and yet, such use of SSBs would initially only be introduced for the more wealthy demographic of battery-electric powered vehicles purchasers.
Bluntly stated, SSBs are inherently super expensive to manufacture and the overwhelming majority of battery-electric powered vehicles purchasers simply can not afford the kinds and quality of specific vehicles which SSBs would be powering.
What's more, you should understand that more than 3 trillion dollars worth of ongoing capital investment has already been directed toward the buildout of battery cells manufacturing facilities and a forging of a global battery materials supply chain which predominantly supports the production of lithium-ion liquid electrolyte featuring battery cells. It's collectively representative of a global battery cells manufacturing apparatus which is specifically non solid state battery chemistry compatible.
Now you know why pure SSBs are that far away from ever being predominantly employed by vast majority of global automotive manufacturers particularly outside of China.

The very heading found within the latest company press release necessarily should have read as follows.

"Northern Graphite Provides an Update Regarding The Battery Chemistries Agnostic "Porocarb(R)" Anode Additive Material Product"

Messrs Jacquemin Bowes, Jacq et al should have lead with the immediately aforestate headline. The reason being that such a headline would have been more accurate and therefore in now way intentionally misinforming.
Also, the suggested alternative headline speaks to a specific ability to employ the "PorocarbTM" porous hard carbon anode additve coating material in both predominantly liquid electrolyte featuring lithium-ion battery cells and also all SSBs. It would have immediately hooked readers who know more about the battery cells chemistries development and battery cells manufacturing industry, peaking their interest.

Finally, I'll provide some much required commentary with respect to the information conveyed on behalf of NGC by way of the immediately following excerpted portion of the press release in question.

"The latest results with world leading South Korean and Chinese battery manufacturers indicated superior performance with Porocarb compared to other carbon materials and we are currently in the pivotal phase of product qualification with our clients," said Dr. Moritz Hantel, VP Innovation & Product Management of NGCBM."

Dr. Moritz Hantel, VP Innovation & Product Management of NGCBM, needs to put some empirical comprehensive performance testing data forward in order to support what can be suggested to be both his and NGCBM dubious claims.

Here's one for you
Dr. Moritz Hantel, VP Innovation & Product Management of NGCBM.

Everybody and their cousins should be asking you to prove, utilizing empirical comprehensive A sample cells performance testing data of course, precisely how this "PorocarbTM" anode additve coating material performs vs. what is an already validated (and about to be qualified and necessarily certified by certain globally recognizable battery cells manufacturers) proprietary chemistries agnostic and battery cells form factor agnostic "SiGTM" anode additive product by Quebec Canada based NanoXplore Inc.
You,
Dr. Moritz Hantel, VP Innovation & Product Management of NGCBM, choose to simply yammer on about "the latest results with world leading South Korean and Chinese battery manufacturers" having " indicated superior performance with Porocarb compared to other carbon materials"; and yet, you provide no empirical comprehensive performance testing data to support your dubious statements in said regard.
Should this "PorocarbTM" anode additive coating material product not provide, amongst various other industry leading performance attributes experienced when employing "SiGTM", an already verified as clearly demonstrated volumetric energy density performance of 1,150 Wh/L, you should pack that "PorocarbTM" product into 20Kg capacity cardboard boxes and utilize such filled boxes to prop open the shipping and receiving personnel entrance door at Heraeus Group's manufacturing facility.
