RE:RE:Business plan

RE:RE:Business plan

Whoever wrote that email to FP is not clever. Allow me to correct an erroneous asssumption or two.

1) The claim that the company clearly made is that their Phase 1 process needs 30% less energy than the incumbent, dirty process, NOT 30% less energy than other green ammonia making processes.  Phase 2 could be even more efficient.

2) The CF related quote above is incomplete.  Here is the full quote:

By CF’s estimates, green ammonia will cost about $500 per metric ton to make, about three times as much as conventional ammonia.

But the company estimates that it could fetch $2,200 per metric ton in the alternative energy marketplace, about eight times as much as conventional.

from https://cen.acs.org/business/petrochemicals/ammonia-fuel-future/99/i8

So FP's is 30% more efficient than the dirty process and can perhaps fetch 8x as much $$$ per ton for the product.

Then there are carbon credits on top of that.

There's a big opportunity here, to say the least.
