RE: Is NKW expensive?

RE: Is NKW expensive? The Eco Energy program will be out of funds now or in the near future. It was never renewed in last budget. Being registered for program doesn't get you the money. It is first to complete construction, first to get money. By the time the CPC is done, no BC projects will get the program money as it will be gone. NKW does in house wind resource assessment. It should be done by a third party, as any financial house will require third party verification anyway, usually Garrad Hassan. Most of us in the industry are skeptical of NKWs claim for wind speeds. There is nowhere for 396MWs of power to go. The biggest hurdle for most WFs is transmission. SBX saw this and proposed transmission links so WFs could be built on the island. It will take longer to build out and permit transmission than the WF.
