ALL mining companies, IMHO, have been burned by self-inflicted financial wounds of prior commodity cycles. There are plenty of examples.

Infrastructure costs, - and judging by your handle you know more than I do about roads for example, are a MAJOR offset - read cost - to getting NOT's concentrates to market. Soooooo.... that road-building cost is estimated by BHP, Wyloo, whoever, and DEDUCTED from the estimated value of the deposit(s) in the ground to arrive at a value per share.
