Survey says….Survey says…. Ever done a survey where you can almost predict the survey results based on the way the questions were asked? Pretty easy to slant questions to get the answer you want… for example the question asked about Natera Plant based products being served at Denny’s… “Who goes to a restaurant like Denny’s to eat plant based food?”
It got me wondering “Where do people go to specifically eat plant based food?”
A simple Google search “plant based restaurants Vancouver” shows lots of lists of restaurants, here are a couple:
https://curiocity.com/17-of-the-best-vegan-restaurants-to-eat-at-in-vancouver/ https://www.thebestvancouver.com/best-vegetarian-restaurant-vancouver/ So sure there are lots of options for strict vegan/vegetarians or any one to specifically go to eat plant based food, but I am not nieve enough to believe that vegans/vegetarians/flexitarians only go to these type of restaurants when eating out.

I reread my
post about Denny’s in August that stated:
There have been a few comments on various forums that vegans/vegetarians wouldn’t go to Denny’s. Not all family units are strictly vegan/vegetarians and families do tend to dine out together and dining out is an easy Meatless Monday for non vegan/vegetarian families. In that post I included some links about Denny’s history with plant based and/or vegan food.
Here are a few more:
https://crueltyfreereviews.com/eating-out/vegan-at-dennys/ https://veggl.com/cheat-sheets/vegan-options-at-dennys/ https://totalshape.com/diet/vegan-options-at-dennys/ https://www.petakids.com/food/dennys-open-vegan-food-24-7/ I stand by my comment (edited):
Not all family units are strictly vegan/vegetarians and families do tend to dine out together and dining out is an easy Meatless Monday (or any day of the week) for non vegan/vegetarian/flexitarian families. *****
I came across this link:
https://www.peta.org/living/food/chain-restaurants/ This is the introduction at the top of this list:
What’s the deal with vegan fast food?
Some of us never thought that we’d see the day when White Castle or Denny’s offered veggie burgers, but now that they do, the millions of omnivores who eat there can see that choosing meat-free meals is easy and tasty. Almost every restaurant has at least one vegan dish. By making educated choices and asking the server for assistance, dining out can be a delicious—and cruelty-free—experience! We put together this handy guide to help you navigate the chain restaurant world.
Scrolling thru the list I picked out some of the more recognizable names:
A&W (Canada), Baskin-Robbins, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., The Cheesecake Factory, Chipotle, Dairy Queen
, Del Taco, Denny’s, Dunkin’, IHOP, Little Caesars, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Nathan’s Famous, Olive Garden, Panera Bread, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Quesada (Canada), Quiznos, Red Lobster, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, Ruby Tuesday, Shake Shack, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, TGI Fridays, Wendy’s, White Castle….

So IMO a more relevant question in regards to Natera Plant Based products being served at Denny’s would be:
Why would Denny’s (and all the restaurants listed above) offer plant based dishes if nobody is ever going to order them?
