Please help me understand your comment/question. How would a short seller benefit by selling below the current bid? Doesn't make sense although I may be misunderstanding your post. TIA for clarifying.

It is not a short sale as you would be idiot to short a penny stock,as they could turn the table fast on you.Could be just someone who lost faith,or needed the money,or morethan likely months end bookkeeping! Thanks for your input but was not asking your opinion. The post clearly suggest short selling below the bid. I would appreciate feedback from the original poster as this does not make any sense.

I was thinking somebody who used borrowed money and missed the payment deadline and had their shares sold out from under them to cover the loan. I did get some filled below my bid and that came from my online broker. All of these sites that I peruse aren't necessarily up to date in their filings and it gets confusing when somebody's post gets confused as gospel truth. I don't know ...more

Hmmm? Shorts should be happy.  I took a big chunk of shares at alltime lows and it is lower today. I thought I was pretty safe but should have reacted to the irregularities that I didn't do. Red of black!
