New Share Holder

I've bought in for the @ the 40 cent mark for a small early position.

Don't quite know my plan, but I've been watching for several months and like what I see in the company. The write down gave me a short pause but the price drop feels like an attractive entry, we shall see if it plays out well. The company should be announcing a dividend end of this week or next week, I expect it will be 1 penny. I see some people dislike the reduction for 3 cents, but I feel that the extra 2 pennys at that time were a bonus for the quarter and that they weren't setting a standard, it was a special without naming it a special, I expect most quarters to payout a penny and maybe once a year they raise again for a quarter. Officially I've bought in at a 10% yield, but I'm hoping for 12.5-15% overall near term.

I will likely watch how it trades for a bit and if we get a spike I'll likely throw a Stop-Loss order on it, and if I like what I see I may add to my position.

I like the idea of having a split in resource types and royalties on the oil also being multi-national. A previous poster mentioned they seem content to be in a holding patters, I would like to see more asset purchases for growth myself, but I'll hang out and see what the plans and information is...

do some dd fella, this one is in trouble.  their royalty on those oil and gas fields?  their only asset is in a death spiral.  do some dd before buying in.  ya wanna play oil and gas then pony up and buy a good one.  nva might be best short term as it has a 12 well pad coming on. nwx is so bad for so many reasons.. like the ceo and cfo who loaded up on cheap shares before ...more

Are you saying they don't own the undeveloped Chu Chua claim? It's no where near producing as in years away from maybe being something, but it's a 2nd asset that seems to have positive resources there accounting to drill tests. And it's in minerals not Oil. A downgrade on a oil reserve isn't a death spiral, it isn't good, but it's still gonna bring in $$$ for a few ...more

Did you look at the Financial Statements?

I have and mentioned that I did as I did not find buisness expenses that high. Now I'm not a fiscal analyst by any stretch of the imagination and I can only take numbers as face value and I do recognize the reduced net income reported by 1/3 and some increased expenditure else where... but I've seen similar swings on other royalty plays that are considered 'safe' as sometimes ...more

You did not state you read the FS's, you stated "from what I read."  You could have been quoting from a shameless pumper from another forum, there was no way to tell. Chu Chua has been written off and the company has stated that they have no plans for further exploration.  It was probably not large enough to support anything other than a satellite operatiojn to a real mine ...more

Thank you for the other info tho. I'm all for more information. I haven't seen that info on the mine other than, just initial resource estimation reports and a statement discussing location with other companies rights in the area and positive infrastructure positives. It sounds like if the claims in the area got together and decided thier projects were feasible they would get ...more

this is Mr Rozier taking money out in a tax advantage way.  he is not shareholder friendly.  the oil is in serious decline and means Beach will stop drilling there and move on.  in the end the royalty pays for a few years, yes.  the mineral claim is moose pasture.  it is a low quality claim, free and clear, Rozier and the cfo used to vend into NWX for cheap shares in NWX ...more
