It is confirmed- Blade Optics actually works! The announcement this week by Nexoptic of "first light" being achieved, is a huge milestone for the company and the Blade Optics technology. The tests of the prototype "delivered image resolutions comparable to conventional 5-inch-aperture telescopes while maintaining the device's unique form factor." This is the news that we have been waiting for! It appears that the market may have missed the news, or the magnitude of this development has not been realized yet. There are definitely steps to go before the technology is completely de-risked and its' full potential achieved, but we now know that the prototype works and at worst, provides equal quality and resolution at a smaller size than ever before possible. Patents and licensing deals will be up ahead, if we make it that far. There is definitely a chance of a takeover, but I would have to think that any takeover bid begins at a $2 billion valuation. This technology WORKS and is potentially so disruptive in so many sectors. A reminder again that we have one of the world's foremost futurists in Stephen Petranek on our board of directors, and who is a huge believer in the tech!
It is difficult to put a precise value on this tech once the patents have been granted, as this is the biggest development in optics in 400 years.
See you all at $10!
