RE:RE:Can't believe that I'm doing this.....I visit a lot of different place to simply get a feel for investor sentiment. On stockhouse, a lot of the pages are chock full of pumpers and B.S. artists, with very little information of value. The Nexoptic page has some more rational content.
Also, I am more comfortable speaking about this company than I am the precious metals stocks in my portfolio. I've placed a lot of faith in some fellow club investors who have assisted us all in developing a greater grasp of the nuances of resource investing, be I still have a long way to go until I have confidence to make comments.
I do, however, have more experience playing in the tech stocks, as I got in to investing more actively in the early 2000's while i was still employed on a full-time basis. The Nuance Communications investment was an Oxford Club recommendation from way back in the day, when a buddy had subscriptions to what seemed like everything coming out of the Bill Bonner offices in Baltimore. But did well in some others as well. I do think much of the tech sector is quite frothy, and I find it fascinating to see how people move as a group. They flocked to amazon, apple, tesla and many others, creating massive and usually unreasonable valuations that were doomed to breakdown. Two Canadian companies fit that description perfectly: Nortel and BlackBerry. Although the Nortel issue was less a matter of over-valuation as it was Chinese espionage.
Long and short: Nexoptic is in my wheelhouse, and my friend who is a techie is even more swept into it.
Some people invest based on technicals, others on fundamentals and a few simply on market buyer or seller activity (or psychology). We here try to account for all three factors, whilst also factoring in forecasting about the geopolitical and other relevant or otherwise influential factors that can impact a price or market to the up or downside. We consider the people involved, the uniqueness of what the company offers customers, and the quality and extent of competitiion. By every variable that we consider, we feel Nexoptic has an outstanding shot at being a big winner for us.
