For Your Thought Snake and To Us All...
"A mistake whiche makes me humble is much better than an achievement that makes you arrogant." Anyone know who said this? Barstool :-)
So true.

Not me :>) but it is profound so I Googled it. Seems to be attributed to Sheik Hamza Yusuf, a contempory very well respected Islamic sholar...but even that was said to be uncertain. Cannot find for sure who this profound mind might be but this Sheik is IMO definitely capable of articulating it. Thank you Spider

You are very welcome Barstool it is (Mahatma--meaning great soul) Gautam Buddha. I will have to look up Sheik Hamza Yusuf would love to see his beautiful words of wisdom :-) These words of wisdom are so true and really good to live by whenever possible--to overcome the false ego and control our emotions.

You are probably right Scarlet. I just Googled the phrase and the first thing I saw was the attribution I gave, then one down page 1 there was no indication of attribution at all That it comes from the Buddha is no surprise. What a gift to humanity his life was.
