Not something to worry about as its the Sept 15 to 30 data...but still what does it mean? weird numbers in comparison to the history of shorts

I think it might work as the insurance for those who want to keep the shares w8ing for the white knight and want some protection as well

My thought is that it is a real short by parties thinking the deal might fall thru. The shortie would think low probability of white night AND the ratio of the 5cent loss on buyout vs $1.20 gain on deal failure is in their favour. Deal failure could push NYX back to $1.10. I am a retail guy so take it as retail chatter please.

There is little doubt that this deal will go thru. First at 2.40, it is cheap, and SG are not overpaying for this. Also there is a 30 million penalty if this bid fail from the SG side. It is not a lot for them but still ...it is massive for NYX. The chance for Nyx to come back under 2.00$ even if the deal does not come thru is close to zero. I would actually rather have NYX operating and pay their ...more

That is ok by me. If it falls back to $1.10, I will use it as an opportunity to load up. Sooner or later someone else will come along and buy it up.
