Chatham Rock Phosphate Limited is a New Zealand-based junior mineral development company. The Company is focused on the development of a marine phosphorite deposit off the coast of New Zealand. It holds a mining permit over an area off the coast of New Zealand with seabed deposits of rock phosphate and other valuable minerals. The permit area of 820 square kilometers (sq km) is approximately 450 km east of Christchurch, at 400 meters (m) water depths on the Chatham Rise and in New Zealand territory. The Company also holds interest in Makatea Phosphate project, which is a combined rehabilitation and phosphate mining project located on Makatea Island approximately 240 km northeast of Tahiti, French Polynesia. It covers an area of approximately 1,035 hectares (10.36 square kilometers). The Company’s Korella South EPM28187 lies to the south and east of ML 90209. Its subsidiaries include Chatham Rock Phosphate (NZ) Limited, Avenir Makatea Pty Ltd, and SAS Avenir Makatea.
