Newmont and Agnico-Eagle Double Down on Columbia

Columbia exploration and gold deposits on Newmont and Agnico-Eagle radar.

This morning:
Agnico-Eagle just joined Newmont in funding a 50:50 joint venture with Orosur Mining in Columbia. 

"Agnico Eagle has been actively looking at Colombia for some time, and this low-cost entry is consistent with our exploration strategy and existing investment in Royal Road Minerals,” said Agnico- Eagle senior VP exploration Guy Gosselin.

Outcrop Gold's model is to set up JVs with its deposits and projects.  The probability is rising OCG finds a JV partner for Santa Ana.

Orosur Mining (OMI.L) opened unchanged and has been rising all morning in London on this news, now up 100+%.  I feel this is very good news for other explorers in Columbia.  Validation of geology and mining jurisdiction.  Very bullish for Outcrop Gold.
