Yesterday, Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (TSXV:OCG, OTCQX:OCGSF, DE:MRG) announced the commencement of their 2024 drilling program at the Santa Ana high-grade silver project located in Colombia, marking a significant step forward in Outcrop Silver's exploration endeavors.

The Santa Ana project, wholly owned by Outcrop Silver, spans an expansive 27,000 hectares, positioned approximately 110 kilometers from Bogota, Colombia. Notably, this region encompasses a rich history dating back to at least 1585, with mining records indicating the presence of historically high-grade silver mines. Within this district lies the Santa Ana project, characterized by regional-scale parallel vein systems, covering a substantial portion of the Mariquita District.
With a maiden resource estimate in hand, Outcrop Silver possesses a solid foundation for their exploration efforts. The estimate suggests an indicated resource of 24.2 million ounces of silver equivalent at a grade of 614 grams per tonne, alongside an inferred mineral resource of 13.5 million ounces of silver equivalent at a grade of 435 grams per tonne. These estimations, based on the NI 43-101 Technical Report, underscore the project's considerable potential.
Venturing beyond established veins, Outcrop Silver's exploration team has identified additional high-grade targets ripe for drilling. By leveraging their expertise, they aim to not only expand the current mineral resource but also uncover new prospects within the project's expansive area. The company's strategic focus remains on identifying and drilling new vein targets with high-grade potential, thereby bolstering the overall resource.
