Outcrop Silver (Ticker: OCG.v or OCGSF for US investors) is swiftly pushing forward with the development of the Santa Ana high-grade silver deposit in Colombia through continuous expansion drilling. Spanning across 27,000 hectares within the Mariquita District, Santa Ana boasts a rich historical backdrop of silver grades, marking it as a standout in Latin America.
The project's inaugural resource estimate further underscores its promise, revealing an indicated resource of 24.2 million ounces of silver equivalent at an impressive grade of 614 grams per tonne.
The junior is also actively advancing exploration efforts across three of its gold projects, each exhibiting world-class discovery potential within Colombia.These assets are being propelled forward by a meticulously structured and seasoned professional team boasting decades of collective experience specifically within the Colombian landscape.
OCG recently shared significant progress stemming from gravimetric concentration trials conducted at Santa Ana. The tests aimed to enhance already impressive recovery rates and demonstrated successful extraction of silver and gold through mechanical means preceding traditional flotation processes.
By relying solely on gravimetric techniques, OCG achieved a 7% recovery rate for silver, supplementing its existing 93% recovery rate via flotation. Concurrently, the gold recovery rate through gravimetric means reached 30.52%.
In total, the gravimetric concentrate yielded 2,883 grams per tonne of silver and 164.12 grams per tonne of gold, marking a significant stride for the Santa Ana endeavor, and highlighting its position as one of the leading primary silver ventures worldwide in terms of grade.
OCG also exemplified its dedication to fostering local business ecosystems in Colombia today by sharing that it hosted representatives from a vital branch of Colombia's National Learning Service.
