News ReleaseWell viena,
I stand corrected on my assertion that it looked like management would not release any drill results prior to release of the M&I. News is very encouraging with excellent assay results more than double the grade of the main zone. I still don't understand why it took so long for management to release them. There is a statement that says drilling is down to 12,000 metres per month to accomodate assay backlog. Other companies like Detour can still provide timely drilling updates so why can't Osisko. I still say two months of no news hasn't done the average shareholder any favours. The fact we are at a yearly low is indicative of this. No news or uncertainty has simply allowed the big boys the ability to walk the price down and cover their shorts. I guarantee if this news release had been released earlier we wouldn't be at this ridiculous low price. Transparency to shareholders including those outside of Eurasia Group and internal management has to be a key objective.
On the bright side
Sean Roosen, Osisko's President and CEO stated: "Osisko's currentexploration objective is to define new higher-grade resources forpotential blending with mineralization from the main Canadian Malarticdeposit. We are focusing the bulk of current exploration drilling onthe South Barnat Zone because of earlier results in 2006 that suggestedthis zone was potentially twice the average grade of the CanadianMalartic deposit. Today's new drill results support this view andsuggest potential for even higher grade material, which could have avery positive effect on the Canadian Malartic project parameters."
