MAY-26-2015: UPSTREAM PODCAST - GUYANA
Would recommend CGX shareholders to listen to the 'upstreamonline' podcast (the bit) which talks about the recent discovery offshore Guyana. Link follows: https://www.upstreamonline.com/live/1400946/podcast-bottom-of-the-downturn
Everything here screams value for CGX - need for deepwater port / infrastructure, go forward need to source all logistics in Guyana (as opposed to Trinidad), opending play discovery with follow up opportunities, etc.
The podcast also mentions there are juniors in the basin that have secured blocks prior to the Liza discovery. The speaker said he is expecting definite activity in light of the Exxon discovery - with specific reference to farm-in activities (which are highly probable).
It seems the Liza discovery has the ears of the entire industry. Not sure if there is anything bigger going at the moment in the oil patch.... The speaker on the podcast I think used the term "salivating" / "slam duck" to desribe what is happening offshore Guyana...
No doubt - most of the major institutional players (hedge funds, money managers, etc) abandoned CGX when Eagle Shallow was announced as a dry well (which required PRE to bail out CGX by issuance of shares / diluted shareholders). Hence, it will be interesting to see if any institutional try to claw there way back in...
All positive - can't wait until this is reflected to the share price of CGX...
Hope
