CGX Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil and gas exploration company. The Company is focused on the exploration of oil in the Guyana-Suriname Basin and the development of a deep-water port in the Berbice, Guyana. The Company holds interests in three petrol prospecting licenses, such as Corentyne, Berbice, and Demerara Blocks in the Guyana Basin. The Company has drilled two operated exploration wells on its offshore Corentyne Block and drilled three more exploration wells on its onshore Berbice Block. Note, in several of the Exxon/Hess public announcments - they have mentioned the aged of the reservoir they encountered as partin the for each discovery.


Key point here is that some of these play types Exxon has de-risked (from what we have been told by CGX and other participants in the basin) do extend to the shelf. In some cases, these discoveries Exxon has announed (Pluma & Haimara) are part of a channel systems that run through adjacent blocks owned by CGX, Tullow, Repsol, etc.
