Just reading about the alluvial fans found in Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California. The photos show deep channels filled with rocks, boulders, sand. At one time a raging river carried all of this debris down from the mountians and when the river hit the open plane the river fanned or spread out dropping the sediment at the mouth of the river spreading out in a fan shape. Thanks dfly! Re the Bonboni-1 Can you maapstriculate the days between spud and TD? Meant to say TVD. No should have said TMD. Hell just use days between spud and the PR. And do we even know the spud date /drilled depth of Bonboni? Dang there I go again with depths. Dirk, don't jump me, I'm just funning ya. SportyJ

Lmao! No worries here mate. I just get a kick out of where kicks may be encountered. Hey they took a kick at such and such a depth. Then the banter goes on and on about how it doesn't make sense because at that depth there's a shale or not even in Campanian yet or they have drilled past it etc.Anyway just told Dfly that I've been checking out alluvial fans.
