Material or Material?
The first is about fact(s) or event(s). The second is stuff you shove down the hole like cement. Let's discuss related to the much anticipated PR. To most on this board everything is a material event. Like a rig move or a JV or what was served for lunch on the rig. However, imo the company has some room under SEC and/or its Canadian equivalent regs. Now a p&a would be a material, easily identifiable, date specific event. I would expect a quick rip the bandaid off PR. However, a success PR could be days or weeks. Cgx could use a delay for "analyzing" all the data gathered. Waiting on log interpretation from big blue. Or needs to make sure logs/seismic are understood etc and at the same time we are working up a JV K but circulating for markup (damn material to us but not announceable until signed). You know any JV company is gonna DD the heck of the reams of data from land/acctg/well/eng/geo. To me waiting on the eventual PR is a bit like jury deliberations. I personally want the jury to take its dang time. If they come back quick that's usually bad ie guilty.
