Kawa vs. Wei

Well Miftee9 you sound a little mifted.   Firstly, I did make out quite well and bailed at just over $3.  Sorry to pop your bubble.   It is worth a quick review of my previous posts as it all came fairly close to the truth.    At the risk of rattling you further, what I can say is (after putting the incompetant management aside for now) there are a lot of folks who still continue to believe that the Corentyne block is just like the Exxon block.   It is not.   As I have said before, the Corentyne block resides further up the paleo-depositional slope so the thicker and higher quality sands that are present in the Exxon block by passed the Corentyne block and travelled more distally (further down slope) to the basin floor area in the Exxon Block.  Now whether you beleive this or not, I frankly dont care, but don't be surprised if the Wei-1 well finds some thin ratty oily sands just like Kawa and is another $130mm sub-commercial technical discovery.   The big operators that went into the CGX farmout room to see the data also think the same.   So, not that you asking, but be careful so that you do not come across even more bitter.

Reading comprehension 101. When a post is addressed specifically to another poster, that might mean it is not addressed to you. Lol. If this reflects your ability to comprehend information I will pass on trusting you as a reliable source.

Sorry BoDidley to pop your bubble but I was not addressing you.  I thought I was pretty clear when the first word letters are WCP.

The Wei-1 exploration well will be drilled in water depth of approximately 1,912 feet (583 metres) to a targeted total depth of 20,500 (6,248 metres) and will target Maastrichtian, Campanian and Santonian aged stacked channels in a western channel complex in the northern section of the Corentyne block. Discoveries in the Stabroek Block The Liza discovery was announced in May 2015 ...more

Hi Chulo123. All good historical information.   But what you are not taking into account is the depositional and structural setting of the sands at the time of deposition.  Its not the present day location that really matters.  The sands if present in the Corentyne block at the Wei-1 location and defintiley at the Kawa location are more mid slope sands and not basin floor sands ...more
