Both Suresh and Lacy have done the right thing and opened their personal wallets to purchase CGX shares via their granted options. Even though neither has any clue as to the actual final outcome of Wei-1 at the moment, they at least showed some courage and did the right thing. 

Let's see if everyones favorite hero De Alba does this same thing... he holds over 1,500,000 options at $0.71 exercise price. Be nice if he actually showed some guts and put his money where is mouth is... its easy to, but will he do it for once? If Suresh can do it, surely this guy can as well. 

In fact, a lot of insiders hold tons of unexercised options. I just pick on De Alba because he has inserted himself as the master of everything in CC, Frontera, CGX and has done a awful job in all three in my opinion over the past 5 years (though I know many disagree). He wants to show the CGX is legit... well, join Suresh and Lacy and put up some personal money... he's been soaking both Frontera and CGX for years from a compensation perspective, so its not like he doesen't have the cash!

It's nice to see some of them step forward but they are all discounted prices. If they want to show some balls start buying at market prices..the same price WE are paying

Taal, i quite agree....i will say this, i agree it would be great for DeAlba to also exercise SOME of his options....but its not my money he's spending and u r correct taal, especially if he doesnt have to!  I also do not know his financial personal status right now.....is he a millionaire?  Multi?  Or in debt?  I am sure WCP knows.....NOT!! :)  The who that is really

What kind of blithering nonsense are you talking about Stark?  Your telling me Lacy knows more about upcoming well outcome than De Alba, and hence that is why he made the conversion of shares? If that is the case, then what in the living hell is De Alba doing in these JV talks with other companies or discussions with government officials? He should know just as much as Lacy and be able to

So in other words Stark, just so I am clear (because who knows, maybe I am missing the point), De Alba is the genius for putting up no money and thus assuming no risk at the moment? He is therefore the genius for letting Wei-1 play out and having no up front skin in the game? If the well is successful, he can convert this summer... and if its a fail, and CGX stock tanks, he can then walk about

Here here ...Lacey is a standup guy.    Frontera and cgx are as good a gamble as I have seen in the oil patch ....I am very impressed by the control over the shares ... vulture over and out for now

Good points wcp. Let me take a stab at this with my less than impressive math, deductive skills. Out of the set of people who own options, what does the subset who chose to exercise options have in common? Maybe they want to retire after Wei and want to lock into what they feel will be a recurring source of revenue. The others don't need to. Is that a plausible explanation? As for de Alba
