I thought that there was some Google Earth professional product where you can get almost real time images of anywhere on the planet. If such a product exists then one could track activity and progress. Anyway I have the free Google Earth which isn't real time. Dated images. Does anybody have the coordinates of the port?

That's kind of rude Frank... Fiero attends the AGM every year and takes the time to give a full report, he doesn't whine about doing it, it should be appreciated.

I found the port on Google Earth. It's even lsbelled CGX. I don't know the date of the satellite image but it looks like they got a lot done - bridge, road, site work at port. Looks like a nice location on Crab Island very close to open water. Coordinates are 6 degrees 17 minutes 45 seconds North, 57 degrees 31 minutes West.

the sat images on goog earth and maps are real old, they dont have the dock built yet that you can see on the cgx website as of aug  22  I hope they have made a lot more progress in the last 1.5 years.   https://cgxenergy.com/deep-water-port/

Yes, I reviwed your link. The channel to open water can handle ships with 8 meter draft. I'm no shipping expert but supposedly that can allow 1000 TEU ships to pass. A small container ship or bulk carrier. Your link says that the eastern part of Guyana, where the port is located, produces 80% of Guyana's agricultural products, mostly rice but other grains, beans (pulses) as well. So that ...more
