The Old Cap

The Old Caphe would load a canoe with supplies and a case of whiskey and head up the reach where the wind can blow up six foot waves in a flash of an eye. Hell we got blown in on that sand bar overnite and what do you do in that case you have a little taste of whiskey and before you know it the whole case is gone and it seems Monday turned into Saturday by then the storm had blown itself out fliting off like a Zepher on it's last gusts.
Found Galena right at surface didn't even stake it just high graded it, soon as Cap hit town he highered a chopper with some 45 gallon drums and slings high graded it.
Years later when Cap and I were Steelhead fishing he told me where it was and that I should stake it because he sure wasn't going to and wanted someone to do it and I was lucky enough to be that person. So I started planning how I could stake this claim this was around 1986. To be continued going cross eyed go PEM go
