Future

FutureHi all, My first post on this board in years! I have owned Cerus (Petrostar) for over a decade. I have been through all the ups and downs (mostly downs) and know the business better than most. I have spoken with management numerous times over the last few months. I can say with certainty, this company has never been better positioned over the last 10 years than it is at this moment. The current management teams has endured its fair share of broken promises and failures, but to their credit, Mack & co took this biz from the brink of bankruptcy to where it is today - a very promising prospective oil play which is highly likely to be a producer in the near future. It's good to see new money in this stock and new blood on the bullboard. Lots of chatter about "blackout" and no news creating some uncertainty. For what it's worth, here's my two cents... The real driver of the price appreciation was from people close to the business, who heard the story and plans for the future and very much liked what they heard. This new money hit the bid and drove the sp to the high teens on decent volume. The recent retraction and detriment to big price climbs is because old money is still present on the ask. Lots of shareholders under water or close to break even at these levels. There is still uncertainty here, and with that, old money money looking to get out and those who first heard the new story are cashing in their profits on a quick flip from getting in sub 10 cents. Blackout for management is standard when deals are in the works. There is most definitely lots of work going on behind the scenes. Management is very cautious about issuing pre-mature news releases as they have been burnt in the past. They aren't rushing things. They have the right people in place and are taking the time to ensure execution is on point. It's an old saying, but applies here, patience is key. Many short term catalysts in place to reward those who are holders at these levels. The next few months are pivotal to where this may go. Nothing is certain, but if management can deliver we are in for a hell of a ride over the next few months. My realistic target for the end of fall, 40 cents. If things don't line up as quickly, or unforeseen hurdles come up, the sp may languish and sit at current levels (or lower) for quite some time. However, there is a good chance that mgmt delivers on execution and we see north of 50. Time will tell. Best of luck to all. PM if interested in specifics.
