If the company is done along with the management and all of the past is worthless and a new buyer comes in, they buy the company's right/assets by buying some or all of the debt.... the debt is for sale.  the equity is wiped out. Aka zero. Aka less than current price. But you keep sales pitching the current worthless equity appreciating.... so who is buying your equity for 7 or 10 cents if by your own admission it's now worthless at .015?
