RE:RE:RE:High salaries?
Slyce is raising money because they need to raise money to continue to stay afloat and grow the business. With a tech startup money is typically raised in stages. Many suggest the company should have raised more in May, but I think they raised what they felt they could justify at the time as a larger ask would have been very difficult to find subscribers for. There was no telling that the market was going to tank and now unfortunately shareholders are paying the price.

Sure they could rein in costs but they are being aggressive with acquisitions and spending money in the process. If this is a winner takes all situation, they have to push the envelope on every front - there is no time to grow the business slowly. I am still of the mind that they will need 13-15 M before they become CFP. I'm guessing they get around 9 M this time around and predict there will be one more round near calendar Q3 to get them to the end. This is all based on the assumption they continue to sign deals. If they want to reach the predicted +20 deals by the end of the year, they had better start making announcements soon or they will not reach that goal. That is what would concern me more, not the salaries or the financing.
